How much does care cost?

Each care package is tailored to the individual. Packages vary in accordance with needs. No two care packages are the same as we are all unique with very differing needs and abilities.

We provide confidential home visits to discuss needs and to design each package individually, once we have designed the package we will then be able to tell you about the cost. Care at home does not cost as much as residing in a residential or nursing home and is far more beneficial to maintaining lifestyles long term.

What is the process to setting up care?

If you are considering care and contact us we will visit you or your loved ones home to discuss care. We will gather as much information as is necessary and if you choose to start care we will take care of the rest.

We will agree a start date with you and behind the scenes we will set up everything necessary. We will arrive to start care as agreed and will bring your first team member with us and introduce them to you to ensure that you are familiar with them before they provide your care going forward.

Am I obliged to take a care package if I enquire?

No, we are happy to advise in order to keep people safe at home. We have made home visits because others felt that they needed care but they simply needed sign posting to relevant services or others in order to put things in place for them to continue to live independently.

Can I call you whenever I need to?

We operate normal working hours for office purposes but outside of these hours we operate an on-call service to support our customers and staff. You can communicate with us in a number of different ways and this includes text services, messaging platforms, email and use of our in-house notification system.

How quickly can you set up care?

Each person has different care requirements and therefore differing time spans are required to set up each care package. We have set up care in extenuating circumstances on the same day of enquiry and it has taken us a few days for others. We will discuss this with you at the point of home visit to discuss your needs.

I am worried about having people I do not know coming to do my care, what will you do to limit this?

We promise to never send a care worker that you have not been introduced and understand the sensitivities of receiving care. All of our customers are introduced to their care workers and we never send a care worker that you have not met. You will be informed on each care visit who will be coming to your next care visit and what time to expect them so that you are kept fully informed not only from initial home visit but through out the term that you receive care from Havant Homecare.

Can I cancel visits or stop care if I need to?

Your care package is a flexible as you need it to be. We work closely with other professionals and with family and fully understand that there are others involved in your life and times that you may not need us, visits around these times can be cancelled or the package ended if necessary. It is as simple as speaking to us.
