Whilst it is wonderful to enjoy the sunshine for most of us there are things that care providers have to do behind the scenes. We have activated our heat wave action plan to ensure that we do our best for our customers.
Did you know that hot weather can cause dehydration in older people that can be life limiting or fatal. Take a moment to check in on older family members, neighbours and friends and check that they have plenty of fluids close to hand. We can often overlook the need to drink more in extreme heat and a drink in the line of sight is a great reminder.
